    You Promise?!

    Read

Luke 24:27, "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself." Luke 24:44, "He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.'"

    Think

"You cannot act on what you do not know." On the day of Jesus' resurrection, he joined two men making their way home. They were despondent because their hopes for a leader who would rescue Israel from Roman oppression were dashed when Jesus was killed. Yet here was Jesus walking with them and they did not recognize him. What? They did not recognize Jesus? How is that possible? These two men didn't know what Scripture said about Jesus. As a result, they missed his resurrection, which would have been a cause of celebration and victory! They could not act, because they did not know. How about you? How much of God's plan for your life are you not acting upon because, like the two men Jesus encountered, you don't know what the Bible says? You cannot act on what you do not know. Today is your day to begin a journey of discovering all that God has for you by uncovering his truth found in the Bible!

    Act

The best way to discover God's truth is by reading the Bible. Don't know where to start? Check out the daily reading plan below as we take a journey through the New Testament this summer.

    Pray

God, today I choose to start discovering your truth found in the Bible. Help me to understand what I read and to put it into practice in my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
