Read: Romans 5:8; Psalm 9:10
Think: During WWII, a father in England was holding his son’s hand and ran from a building being bombed into a hole that was a shelling hole. The father jumped in first and yelled for his son to jump, but the little boy couldn’t see and was terrified. The father shouted, “I know you can’t see me, but I can see you!” The boy jumped because he trusted his father. His faith in his father gave him the confidence he needed.
Christians — those who follow Jesus — are called “believers.” When we believe, we give up doing things our way and trust that He is going to work things out for our ultimate good; we surrender. And it’s this faith in our Father that helps us to stand confidently in the face of the unknown.
Application: Write down this question: If I really trusted God with my health, my family, my finances, and my future, how would my life change?
Pray: God, I give You my life completely. Help me to trust You.
