    The Spin Cycle of Success

    Read

Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

    Think

CHANGE. Some people love it, some hate it, some fear it. But, regardless of which camp you're in, it's an inevitable part of life. But, did you know that change ushers in the spin cycle of success that can make it worth the pain, uncertainty, and fear?

    Change - Conflict - Growth.

Change and conflict go hand in hand. Like learning how to ride a bike, we feel wobbly at first. It's scary and uncomfortable as we fumble with the gears and learn how to apply the brakes. We worry about maintaining control and get caught up thinking, "What if I crash?" But, the more we practice, the more confident we become. As we keep on pedaling, riding becomes second nature. And after a while, we forget about the conflict as our ability to ride grows.

Here's what's great! Even when we can't feel it, God is with us through it all. He is always there, cheering us on and preparing us for the amazing things He has planned for our future.

With the topsy-turvy world today, we're constantly confronted with change. So, let's be strong and courageous as we make our way through the accompanying conflict because the growth that awaits us on the other side far outweighs the temporary discomfort!

    Act

Write down the spin cycle of success along with today's verse, then put it somewhere you'll see it. When you feel the conflict of change, let it be a reminder to hop back on your bike and keep pedaling!

    Pray

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the promise of Your presence. The conflict that comes with change can be overwhelming. So remind me to be strong and courageous as I strive toward growth because I know You have great things planned for my future. Amen.
