John 8:7 "When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."
John 8:11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
THINK
You show me your friends, and I'll show you your future.
Think back to a situation when you found yourself in trouble. More than likely, you either had a bad circle of influence around you that led to the situation or no one around you to encourage you to make a wise decision.
Though it's no fun to find yourself in a bad situation, you can learn from it and influence others to avoid making the same mistake.
Poor decisions put the woman in the scripture above at the mercy of others who wanted to stone her. Thankfully, Jesus interceded for her, giving her a second chance at life.
The woman found her life impacted by the right THEY — Jesus. He not only gave her grace, but He encouraged her to go the right direction. He believed in who she COULD be. We should remember the grace God has given us through His Son, Jesus, and be the right THEY others could be seeking.
PRAY
Thank You, God, for reminding me of the grace You have given to me. Give me the opportunity to influence others and be the right THEY for them.
ACT
Call those who are the right THEY in your life, letting them know how much you appreciate them. Reach out to someone who could use your influence, who doesn't seem to have the right THEY around them. Pray for them today and ask God for the opportunity to impact their lives.
