    The Path to Purpose

    Read

2 Timothy 3:15-17,  "There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another-showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us."

    Think

There is no other book like the Bible. It is by far the best-selling book of all time. It was written over a span of 1600 years, by 40 different authors, in 3 different languages, on 3 different continents; yet, it has one continuous and compelling message that is impacting lives to this day. The credibility of the Bible is incredible! It is more scrutinized than any other document in history, and yet it has stood the test. Archaeological and scientific discoveries continue to produce evidence that only boosts the credibility of the Bible. As amazing as the statistics of the Bible are, that doesn't compare with how amazing the impact of the Bible is in our lives! It's not just about information. The Bible is about transformation, and God has a way of using the Bible to expose dysfunction that we deny. Don't just read the Bible; let the Bible read you! If we are open, God will use His Word, the Bible, to show us things about ourselves that can lead us down a path for new-found purpose and power in all areas of our lives.

    Act

Commit to letting the Bible read you over the next 7 days. As you read the devotionals and attend the worship experience, start by asking God to teach you. Then, write down what you learn so you can put action to that information and God will produce transformation.

    Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Bible to teach me. Please show me what You want for my life through the pages of Scripture. And please give me opportunities to share what I learn with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
