Read:
1 Corinthians 7:17a “Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him.”
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Think:
Your life is not random, but a deliberate gift and assignment from God. This realization should permeate every aspect of your life—its joys and sorrows, its strengths and weaknesses, its moments of health and heartache, and its seasons of prosperity and poverty. During life's chaotic situations, there is purpose. You are not a casualty of chance or a lost potential, derailed by unfortunate circumstances or the consequences of poor choices. Even in the face of trouble, you can still fulfill your assignment and calling from God.
Your very being is a result of God's intentional choice. You exist because he desired you to exist, and every facet of your identity—your nature, circumstances, location, and timing—has been meticulously shaped by God. Scripture confirms that God created you (John 1:3), intricately formed you in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13), called you to be his own (John 10:27; Romans 8:30), and knows the place where you live (Acts 17:26).
The height of our existence lies in fully embracing the adventure of the assignment God has entrusted to us. It's more than just our jobs; it's about embracing our primary calling—to love God wholeheartedly and extend that love to others. This calling isn't a distant future event; it's lived out in every interaction, in each task, in the mundane and the extraordinary moments of today. Our calling is to love God, love our neighbors, and engage faithfully with whatever is at hand today. Today we see our lives as an important assignment, an adventure to love Jesus and the people who surround us.

Approach each task, responsibility, and interaction as an opportunity to live out your purpose. Read Colossians 3:23-24 and consider how you can glorify God in the ordinary tasks of your day.
Pray:
Heavenly Father, help me recognize the truth that I am here by your design. Thank you for the assurance that I am not a lost cause, but rather a cherished creation of yours. I surrender my desires, plans, and uncertainties into your hands. Give me the strength and faith to trust in your sovereign plans for my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.
