Psalm 139:23b, “…test me and know my anxious thoughts.” 

Think 

God is for you! He loves you more than you can imagine. He has great plans for your life and wants the best for you. This same God, though, will allow you to be tested. And while the devil tempts you to do wrong, God puts tests in your path to make you strong!  

David knew God well. He had been through some challenging times with God and had seen God do great things. So when David invited God to test him, he knew that God would use that to make him better.  

God will place opportunities in your life for you to grow. Those times are often tests! Don’t mistake them for punishment. Don’t miss out on them because they are difficult. Instead, look at them as opportunities for God to take you to new levels!  

Act 

Look at the challenges you face today and ask God to show you what you can learn and how you can grow through them. Whether they are big or small, pray for the strength you need to face them – and to succeed in them!  

Pray 

Dear Heavenly Father, I believe You love me and have good plans for my life. When You allow me to face tests, I believe You want to do something good in my life. Please help me recognize that the tests You bring into my life are for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
