    Read:

Psalm 100:1-2 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”

    Think:

Have you ever wondered what to call people who willingly expose themselves to deafening noise for an extended period? They're called fans. In 2014, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, fans set a Guinness World Record for stadium noise during a Chiefs game against the New England Patriots, reaching an astonishing 142.2 decibels – louder than a jet airplane taking off.

We should be raging, raving fans like these sports enthusiasts, but for a different reason – God's goodness and mercy. Just as King David was moved to express his love and gratitude in Psalm 100, our hearts should overflow with worship. This may require some of us to push the boundaries of restraint, to be more expressive in our praise. Conversely, those who are naturally exuberant may need to learn the beauty of silence, to listen and reflect. Regardless of our style, it's time to celebrate the Creator, Redeemer, and Shepherd, and to rejoice in all that he has done.

Find a moment to express your gratitude and love for God. Whether it's through exuberant praise, a silent moment of reflection, or anything in between, let your heart overflow with worship.

    Pray:

Heavenly Father, we praise you for your goodness and mercy that surround us. Help us to be fanatical in our gratitude, to express our love for you without reservation. In Jesus' name. Amen.
