“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Ephesians 6:10-11

    Think

We face challenges that can seem insurmountable – personal doubts, opposition, and conflicts. Our battles are not merely physical or emotional; they are spiritual. The devil uses schemes and tactics to undermine our faith and divert us from God's path. In the face of such relentless challenges, we may feel ill-equipped, weak, and vulnerable.

But God doesn't leave us unarmed or unprepared. We're encouraged to "be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." This isn't a call to rely on our abilities. It's an invitation to lean on God's infinite strength, to allow him to flow through us. How empowering it is to realize that we don't fight these battles alone! We have the Creator of the universe standing beside us, arming us with the full armor of God.

This armor isn't symbolic or metaphorical; it's spiritual and real. Each piece represents aspects of our relationship with God: truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Wearing this armor is an active, intentional stance in our walk with God. It's a daily choice to embrace God's wisdom, live according to his principles, and trust in his promises.

Our efforts, intelligence, or resilience may fail us, but God's mighty power never will. Whether we're facing a challenging work situation, relationship strain, health issue, or any other struggle, God's strength is more than enough to help us stand firm. With God as our ally, we can stand strong, victorious in the Lord.

    Apply

This week, take time to evaluate your spiritual armor. Are you relying on your strength or God's? Identify areas where you may feel vulnerable and seek to fortify them.

    Pray

Lord, thank you for equipping me with the armor I need to face life's battles. Help me to rely not on my strength but on your mighty power, trusting that, with you, I can stand firm against anything that comes my way. In Jesus' name. Amen.
