    Say What You Say

    Read

Matthew 12:34,  "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

    Think

"The way we think determines the way we feel. The way we feel determines the way we speak." We've learned that words matter. But have you ever considered where our words come from? The Bible teaches us that the words we speak emerge from our heart. In other words, what we say is a reflection of our condition. Think about it. When your heart is at peace, you speak words of peace. When your heart is troubled, you communicate words of anxiety or fear. When your heart is focused on God, you speak words that point others to God and His plan for their lives. And there is nothing more life-giving than pointing others to the One who gives life! Is your heart in line with the things God wants you to experience? Are you communicating words that show others your trust in Him and how He works in every situation? Begin to focus your heart on God, and watch Him transform your language!

    Act

Communication in today's world is done on so many platforms. Did you realize that your social media is likely one of your biggest ways to show the world what is truly important in your life? Don't fall for the status quo of bitterness, anger, and judgment that is so prevalent on social media. Instead, begin to use your social media to speak life and hope into every situation!

    Pray

Dear God, I know that You are the source of life. Help me to focus on You so that the words I speak ultimately point others to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
