    Read:

Exodus 4:10-12 “Moses said to the Lord, 'Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.' The Lord said to him, 'Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.'”

Acts 7:22 “Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.”

    Think:

Many of us have experienced the struggle of comparison. It's all too easy to scroll through social media and witness others achieving crazy success while we feel left behind, leading us to compare our own lives unfavorably. We find ourselves scrutinizing our homes, our education, our children, our spouses, and even our spiritual journeys, often leaving us feeling inadequate. eW can feel left behind.

The act of comparison creates fertile ground for destructive lies to infiltrate our minds, eroding our confidence and stifling our courage. By setting a faulty guideline for approval and acceptance, comparison erects roadblocks on our path to fulfilling our divine purpose. It has the power to steal away our joy. Comparison will destroy the abundant life that Christ promises us, and it taints the way we see the world.

    Apply:

Maybe you feel like you are on the outside looking in. Bring it to God. He made you! He cares, and with every struggle comes freedom.

    Pray:

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for comparing myself to others rather than praising you for the way you have made me and gifted me. Help me to mute the comparison game and lean on you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
