Read:

Colossians 3:1-2 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Think:

Have you ever heard the saying, "They are too heavenly-minded to be any earthly good"? The Bible instructs us to maintain a balance of heaven-focused and earthly-minded thinking. When we prioritize our thoughts on things above, we have the ability to positively impact the world around us. Our words, actions, and behaviors will emulate the character of Jesus Christ, which can lead to great good being accomplished here on earth.

As citizens of heaven, it is our responsibility to embody and share the good news of eternal life in Christ with those around us who are observing our behavior. Our objective should be to live a life that is worthy of the gospel of Christ, inspiring others to follow him through our loving actions.

Let us endeavor to be both heavenly-minded and earthly-good, reflecting the love and grace of our Savior in everything we do.

Pray:

Jesus, you have prepared heaven for me as a Christian. Help me to share the good news of the gospel with others. Help my life be a witness so that others want to know you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
