    Good Soil = Good Return

    Read

Matthew 13:8,"' Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.'"

    Think

Farmers have one of the most challenging jobs in the world. Before the sun comes up, they are hard at work plowing fields, planting seeds, and preparing for a harvest. The work is demanding and tiresome and often goes unnoticed. It isn't until a crop is grown and ready for harvest that a farmer sees the results of all his hard work.

Our hearts are like the soil of a farmer's field, and the hearts that have received God's truth produce a continually changing and transforming life. Today's verse tells us that those who genuinely accept God's plan and purpose for their lives see a huge return over time!

As you consider your heart, where do you find yourself? Is your heart ready to receive and respond to God's truth and purpose for your life? If so, get ready for a huge return as you follow God's path for you!

    Act

Write down three ways you can keep your heart open to what God wants to “grow” in your life. Some examples may include: committing to reading the Bible daily, spending 10 minutes in prayer each morning, or serving with others on the weekend at Fellowship Church!

    Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for cultivating my heart. I pray that You use me in the lives of those around me to exemplify Your love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
