    Read

Romans 8:28 (NIV): "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

    Think

Imagine being a traveler on a twisting, winding road full of unexpected turns, bumps, and dips. Just as this path may lead to beautiful, unexplored territories, our lives often turn in unexpected directions. Romans 8:28 promises that all things, even the detours and setbacks, are working for our good.

Think about when you took a wrong turn on a road trip, only to discover a scenic route you would have missed otherwise. That wrong turn, initially a frustrating mistake, led to a breathtaking journey. Similarly, God uses every experience in our lives to guide us toward his purpose. Even our perceived failures or setbacks are masterfully woven into his grand design.

Consider the life of Joseph in the Bible. Sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, it seemed his life was a series of wrong turns. Yet each step was a part of God's plan, leading him to a position of great influence where he could save many lives.

Like a masterful artist painting a masterpiece, God uses every color, every stroke, every shade of our lives to create a beautiful picture. We may see only a small portion and wonder how it fits, but God sees the entire canvas. We can trust that he's using all things, every joy, sorrow, success, and failure, to shape, grow, and fulfill his purpose in us.

    Apply

Think about your life's events that seemed complicated or confusing at the time. How can you see God's hand in those situations now? Write down a list of those situations and how God brought you through it as a reminder of his faithfulness and how you can trust him to continue orchestrating your life.

    Pray

Lord, help me to trust in your perfect orchestration of my life, knowing that you are working all things together for good. Guide me through the dissonant notes, leading me to your perfect plan. In Jesus' name. Amen.
