“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
Think
It is hard to even imagine this scene: Every created being – regardless of their age, socioeconomic status, nationality, political preference or religion – bowing their knee to Jesus. What a sight! But, what role do we play in making this scene a reality?
Every word in the Bible is inspired by God. It is written and recorded for our transformation, to shape us and mold us into the people God wants us to become and to accomplish the things He wants us to accomplish. So often, when it comes to prophecy, we forget that reality. But the Book of Revelation is a book that inspires us to discover just who God has created us to be and what He has created us to do. So, what has Got put you here for? What gifts and abilities has He given you?
Though we have different ways of carrying it out, we all share the purpose of reaching the world with His message and glorifying Him in all we do! As you study the Book of Revelation, let it be an encouragement to you to reach out to those around you – your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, and your family. Use the power of prophecy as a catalyst for evangelism, and tell the world about the God who holds the future in His hands! As you commit to making His priority your priority, you will honor Him and see Him use you to “bring the world to its knees!”
Act
Right now, think of one person you know who needs the good news of Jesus Christ. Take the next two minutes to pray for them and then invite them to join you at Fellowship Church this weekend, so they can discover the power of prophecy in their own life!
Pray
Lord, Spark the fire of evangelism in my life. Give me the opportunity to influence and impact those around me with this good news! Amen.
