    Forward Thinking

    Read

Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

     Think

Baby Boomers. Gen X. Millennials. Every generation is labeled based on shared cultural traits, values, and preferences. And each generation needs to pass along the lessons they have learned and the values they hold dear.

If we aren't intentional in what we pass along, all we gain will be lost. It will disappear and be forgotten. The same is true with our faith. If we don't pass along what we have learned and experienced through our relationship with Christ, then Christianity is one generation away from extinction. That's why we invest so much time, talent, and resources into FC Kids, the Mix Student Movement, and the weekend experience!

We take very seriously the responsibility of empowering and equipping the next generation with the truth of who Jesus is and the incredible plans He has for them! But we all have a part to play. Whether you are a parent who is leading your family or an individual who can influence others around you, we each have an opportunity to live a God-first lifestyle so others can see what it means to have a relationship with Christ.

Are you living a God-first lifestyle? Are you regularly praying, studying the Bible, prioritizing church, and serving others? Are you influencing others to do the same? No matter who you are, you can invest in the next generation!

    Act

There are many ways to impact the next generation — from serving in FC Kids or the Mix to volunteering at the Super Sweet Sunday event in a few weeks. Sign up to serve today by clicking on Super Sweet Sunday on the Home screen of the app.

    Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for the opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. Please help me to be the leader You’ve called me to be, so I can set a good example for the next generation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
