Read:

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Think:

True freedom finds its source in the transformative work of Jesus. Imagine the classic children's game, "Pin the Tail on the Donkey." In this game, blindfolded participants search for a spot on the wall to pin the tail on a donkey's picture. Amidst the joyful giggles surrounding you, the blindfold keeps you from seeing the tailless donkey. However, when the blindfold is finally lifted, there is relief in regaining your sight—a newfound freedom.

In a similar manner, those without a relationship with Jesus live with a permanent blindfold that prevents them from experiencing a relationship with him. Jesus alone has the power to remove this blindfold. In 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, we discover that spiritual freedom originates from God himself: "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Through a relationship with Jesus, we are liberated from the darkness of sin and are able to confidently step into the illuminating presence of God. Our blindfolds are permanently lifted, granting us the privilege to both enjoy and reflect his glory. As we bask in his glory, we become guides for those who remain blindfolded, leading them to the One who can restore their sight.
