1 Corinthians 1:21, “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.”

    Think

Have you ever had an upcoming test you’d known about for a while but didn’t prep for until the last minute? A semester’s worth of information turns into one all-nighter, and you only retain a portion of the material long enough to brain dump on the test. At the next class, the teacher reminds everyone while passing out the failed papers, “This wasn’t something you could just study for the night before.”

Wisdom is like that. It leads us through a process that prepares us for when the next crisis strikes. It’s not something we cram for last-minute – it’s gained gradually over time as we grow to know God more and seek to do life His way. Wisdom is a gift from God that’s not merely about learning more information, but about the transformation it induces within our lives.

We should constantly seek God’s wisdom because it far outweighs anything we can comprehend on our own. Our intellect pales in comparison to what He offers us. Why, then, do we so often pray for things such as strength, endurance, guidance, and patience, yet we forget to include wisdom? Because the Bible says God gives wisdom to all who ask without judgment. That means regardless of the circumstances or our past failures, all we have to do is ask and accept His amazing gift.

God wants you to live the best life possible. He desires for you to know how to navigate crises and relate well with others. You have an infinite source of wisdom on tap 24/7 — so seek it and be blessed!
