John 3:16,  "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

"There is a work that only Jesus could do." When mankind was a mess, Jesus didn't kick back in his heavenly futon and leave us in chaos. He had every right to, but he took the initiative – he died on the cross and rose from the dead! That was the work that only he could do. The next step is up to us. That is the work that only we can do. Jesus offers us a personal relationship with him, but we have to accept it. If you have not, you can pray this prayer now.  "Jesus, I give my life to you. I believe in the work you did for me when you died on the cross and rose again. I turn from my mistakes and I turn to you. Thank you for rescuing me!" If you have already accepted Christ, what is the work that only you can do today? Is it a conversation you need to have with your spouse or child? Is there a stack of credit cards you need to cut up? Maybe, it's time to invite a neighbor to your home, whom your confident doesn't know Jesus, and have them over for dinner? When we truly understand the work Jesus did for us, we will have the power and tenacity to do the work that only we can do.
