    Witness to the Scene

    Read

Luke 2:17, "When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child..."

    Think

When something truly exciting happens in our lives we can't wait to share the news with everyone we meet. That's what happened to the shepherds when they were, in essence, given a behind-the-scenes look at the miraculous occurrence the angels had just told them about. The shepherds saw the Nativity Scene and knew their lives had been changed forever. Now, as witnesses to the scene, they were given the privilege to take the place of the angels and share with everyone the news of the birth of The Messiah, Jesus Christ. In a very real way, those who are Christ-followers have been given the same privilege. We are witnesses to how Jesus can change the scene of our lives, if we see the Nativity Scene for what it truly is-God's scene that miraculously covers the crime scene of our lives. When we understand that, we can't help but share that news. In fact, it should become our agenda to share the story of what our lives were before meeting Jesus, how we came to know Him and what our life has been like since then. Have you come close enough to the Nativity Scene to truly see and experience its significance?  Let Jesus be the centerpiece of your life scene today, and be a witness of the miraculous life change He brings.

    Act

Take a moment to write down your own story of how you met Jesus and what a difference He has made in your life. Be ready to share that story with someone so you can be a witness for Him.

    Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending us Your Son, Jesus Christ! Help me to never lose the excitement of how He has changed my life. Help me be aware of the opportunities You give to let others know of Your amazing gift to us. In Jesus' name, Amen!
