    Who Are You, Really?

    Read

Jeremiah 17:9 (NKJV), "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?"

    Think

If someone asked you, "Who knows you better than anyone else? Is it your spouse? Your best friend?" your response would probably be, "Me. I know myself better than anyone." That answer seems logical. After all, no one can read your mind or hear your heart. But the reality is that God knows us better than we even know ourselves. Because God – the One who created us – not only knows what we think and feel, He knows the motivation behind our thoughts and emotions. The Bible teaches us that God is the only One who knows what lays in the deepest recesses of our being and can see into the depths of who we really are. Do you want to know who you truly are? If so, turn your life over to the One who created you and ask Him to reveal it to you. Allow Him to work on your heart so you can better understand who you are and what He has in store for you. When you turn to God and ask Him to unveil your true identity, you will discover the One who can lead you down the right path in life.

    Act

Every time you read Scripture, ask the question, "What insight does this give me into who I really am?" Ask God daily to reveal to you who you are, and trust Him to continue working on your heart.

    Pray

Heavenly Father, I believe that You know me better than anyone else. I trust that You can see beyond my thoughts and actions and into my heart. Right now, I place my heart in Your hands.
