Proverbs 2:1a,  "My son, if you receive My words," 1 Corinthians 1:21,  "For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe."

Think

"KNOWLEDGE teaches you; WISDOM transforms you." Have you ever had an upcoming test you'd known about for a while but didn't prep for until the last minute? A semester's worth of information turns into one all-nighter, and you only retain the information long enough to brain dump on the test. Then the teacher reminds the class while passing out the failed papers, "This wasn't something you could study for the night before." Wisdom is like that. Wisdom leads us through a process that prepares us for when the crisis hits.  It's not something we cram for once the crisis hits.  Wisdom is seeing life through God's eyes and doing life his way, not our own. It doesn't just teach us; it transforms us! God's wisdom is something we should seek constantly, because it far outweighs anything we can comprehend on our own. Our knowledge pales in comparison to what he has offered us, and all we have to do is ask for and accept this gift! If we were there when Solomon asked God for wisdom, a lot of us might have done a double-take. "Come again?!" It would be so easy to ask for money, power, fame, popularity, and likes on our latest Instagram post. But Solomon knew what we need to know-that the wisdom of God is the best way to live, and that everything else is secondary. God wants the best for all of us. We just have to take the path he's given us to get there!

Act

Listen to what God is telling you about where you need wisdom. You won't likely hear audible words, but you'll feel him guiding you as you go throughout your day. Keep track in a journal or on the notes section of your phone of all that he places on your heart, and discover the beginning of true wisdom!

Lord, thank you for your gift of wisdom. Please continue to search my heart and show me the areas where I need your transformational wisdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
