    God's Ultimate Care Package

    Read

Matthew 20:28, "For the Son of Man came not to be cared for. He came to care for others. He came to give His life so that many could be bought by His blood and made free from the punishment of sin."

    Think

The gift that keeps on giving! The act of gift-giving is an intentional expression of love and appreciation. But, when presented with a gift, we have the option to either receive it or decline the offer. Likewise, Jesus offers each of us a priceless gift – the gift of life – and we choose to either receive it or not. Jesus stepped down through time and space with the foreknowledge that many wouldn't accept his gift. But, he was willing to do it because he came, not to be cared for, but to show how much he cares for us. On this day, Jesus laid lifeless in his tomb. His death looked like the most epic failure of all time. But what his disciples' thought was the end was truly just the beginning! Christ died on the cross in exchange for our sins and rose again so that we might receive eternal life. Today, will you choose to accept this ultimate expression of love?

    Act

Take a moment to reflect on the life of Jesus. Throughout the gospel, he showed others how much he cared about them. Today, follow his example with acts of kindness to show others that you care.

    Pray

Dear God, thank you for caring about me enough to send your one and only to Son to die for my sins. Please continue to remind me to show this same love to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
