Mark 2:17,
"Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'"
Think
One of the biggest excuses people have for not going to church is that the church is full of hypocrites. Another way that could be said is the church is full of sinners. But as we read in today's verse, Jesus clearly communicated to us that sinners are exactly who He came for! When someone is healthy, they don't go to the hospital. They only go when they are sick. The reality is that every one of us has a sickness in our lives that is called sin. And the only cure is Jesus. As you prepare for your day, remember to focus on the One who can cure you of the sin sickness in your life. Thank Him for the fact that He has called you to healing, and look forward to what He is going to do as He cures your heart!
