Psalm 86:11, "Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Think

Think about the greatest gift you ever received. Now think about what made that gift so special to you. More than likely, the real value of that gift couldn't be found on the price tag. Because the value of a meaningful gift is much more than money. It's all about the heart behind it. The best gifts not only meet the needs or wants of the recipient; they also reflect the heart of the giver. That's what makes a special gift so valuable. The greatest example of this is the gift of salvation that God has given us through his Son, Jesus. That gift, which is definitely the most expensive gift ever given, is also the most valuable because it meets our most desperate need for a connection with God, and it reflects the heart of God, which is generosity. As a church, we are preparing for an INTENSE time of growth that is going to challenge us all to bring our greatest gifts to God. As you prepare for what God wants you to do, remember what truly matters. It's all about the heart behind the gift!
