Think
Living with dysfunction is a bit like being in a burning building with no apparent way out. For a while, we deny the dysfunction is even there. But inevitably, circumstances in our life combust and we can no longer deny it. Because of our dysfunction, though, we react in irrational ways, denying the existence of the real issues. We blame someone else for the fire. Out of fear we run around with no direction in mind. And in desperation we search for any way out of the fire. The great news is, Jesus has provided us with the only way out of the fire. But it requires us to trust him and take a STEP of faith. We'll unpack this more throughout the week. But for now, look at what that step requires. First, we must accept that Jesus is our SAVIOR. We must accept the Bible as our TEACHER. We must accept the power and ENERGY that Jesus provides. And we must accept God's will as our PURPOSE. There is only one real way out of your dysfunction. Have you taken the STEP?

Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for providing a way out of the fire that my dysfunction has caused. Wake me up from my denial and help me to stop blaming others and running in fear. I desperately want to take the STEP of faith that will place me in Your will and purpose. I know I am hopeless and helpless on my own. Take control of my life and take my dysfunction from me. In Jesus' name, Amen!
