    Take a Step

    Read

Luke 13: 12-13,  "When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, ‘Woman, you are freed from your disability.' And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God."

    Think

"A faith that has been tested, is a faith that can be trusted." When Jesus invited the woman to him, she didn't know what was going to happen. She had heard about Jesus and knew what he  could do. But in that moment, she had no guarantee of what Jesus  would do. She didn't have all the answers, but she had faith. She trusted Jesus. Maybe you've seen what a relationship with God has done for someone and you want that, too. Maybe you have read something in the Bible and you know you should act on it. Or maybe that risk the Holy Spirit brought to mind yesterday is still in front of you, but you haven't taken the step of faith. What is awe-inspiring about this woman is that she recognized her need, she chose to trust Jesus and then.... she took action. The result was freedom and healing! Yesterday, we each identified a "crooked area" that needs straightening. Today, it's time to take the step of faith. What could be waiting for you if you acted on what you knew Jesus wanted you to do? Your future begins now!

    Act

The first step of faith we take is to accept God's invitation into a relationship with him. If that is the step you need to take, pray the first prayer in the "Pray" section below and click the contact button to let us know. Once we are Christ-followers, we need to regularly remember that we can trust God so we will continue to take steps of faith. If that is you, take a moment to list ways God has been faithful to you. Let it serve as a reminder that he has been faithful before and will be faithful again. Then, pray the second prayer in the "Pray" section.

    Pray

Prayer 1: Jesus, I give my life to you. I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I turn from my mistakes and I turn to you. Thank you for rescuing me! Amen. Prayer 2: God, Thank you that you are faithful! Please continue to remind me of your faithfulness when it is time to take a step of faith. Amen.
