2 Corinthians 2:11, "I don't want Satan to outwit us. After all, we are not ignorant about Satan's scheming."

Think

We know that the Evil One, also called Satan, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for anyone to devour with his tactics of temptation. Today's passage of scripture reminds us that Satan has a strategy designed to outwit us and bring us down. But, it also reminds us that we haven't been set up for an ambush. We know he is on the prowl and that he's targeting us, so we can prepare for the temptation ahead of time. We don't have to be out-schemed. Remember, if you are a Christ-follower, he (God) who is in you is greater than he (Satan) that is in the world. That means you have God on your side and if God is for you, who can be against you? No one is greater! With God, we are more than conquerors. Don't let Satan outwit you. Instead, hold on to biblical truth that can help you tackle temptation. When Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus fought back with the Word of God and so can you! Don't let the Evil One's tricks take you down; let God's truth help you stand up!

Act

Think of the number one temptation that continually rears its ugly head in your life and claim victory by remembering this: You have the strength you need to fight back when you rely on God and watch for the escape path he creates for you. When you follow God's lead & his strategies, you can overcome any temptation thrown your way by the devil.

Pray

God, thank you for caring enough to give me tools to handle any temptation that the Evil One sends my way. Forgive me when I have failed and help me to overcome all future temptations by living my life according to your strategy. I take great comfort in knowing that you will always lead me to victory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
