"Everything rises and falls on the resurrection of Jesus!" The moment Jesus died on the cross seemed like the most epic failure of all time. Those who had placed their hope in him were heartbroken. But much to death's chagrin, all the sorrow turned into overwhelming joy as Jesus victoriously burst forth from the grave with supernatural resurrection power! But what if Jesus, like every other religion's prophets, remained in the grave? Christianity would merely be a hopeful lifestyle based on Jesus' teachings with no assurance of eternal life. But Jesus did conquer death! In fact, more than 500 people witnessed a very alive Jesus before he ascended to heaven. And it's in this miraculous power that we place our future hope. In this life, we never know what tomorrow holds and certainties are few. But we can be sure of this: Jesus is coming back! The one and only living God has paved the way for us to spend eternity with him. And if we place our faith in his almighty, supernatural resurrection power, we win!

Act

Jesus' love, sacrifice and power inspired his disciples to "Go and make disciples of all nations." Read 1 Peter 1:3-12. Let this important passage about the resurrection of Jesus and the power it has in our lives today inspire you to encourage and bring hope to others just as Jesus did for you.

Jesus, thank you for loving me enough to die on the cross for my sins and thank you for the future hope of eternal life. Give me the wisdom to apply your supernatural power in every aspect of my life and the confidence to share the reason for my hope with others. It's in your name I pray, Amen.
