    Standing Ovation

    Read

Psalm 5:7-8, "But I, by Your great love, can come into Your house; in reverence, I bow down toward Your holy temple. Lead me, Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies, make Your way straight before me." Psalm 66:1, "Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His name; give to Him glorious praise!"

    Think

There's no mystery when it comes to the main ingredients of a BLT sandwich. You know what you're getting when you place the order. Oftentimes, we approach worshiping God the same way we'd typically order a BLT. We worship Him when He Blesses us in a recognizable manner. We worship Him when we feel His overwhelming Love. We worship Him when He Takes care of us. The bottom line is, we worship Him when we see what He's doing in our lives in a tangible way. Why do we limit our worship to mountaintop moments? Most of our time is spent in the mundane, everyday aspects of life. When was the last time you worshiped God for being God? Just as sweet goes with sugar, God goes with glory. He deserves our praise in every aspect of our lives because He is God. And as we thank and honor Him, we will discover that His greatest gift to us isn't what He does, it's who He is.

    Act

Carve out some time today to spend a few minutes alone with God. Instead of praying about what He's doing in your life, tell Him what you love about Him. If you need inspiration the book of Psalms is a great place to start. Allow this shift of perspective in your approach to prayer to become a daily practice as you live your life for His glory.

    Pray

Dear God, Thank You for who You are. I'm amazed by Your glory, steadfast love, forgiveness, grace and mercy. I thank You for Your constant presence and stability in an ever-changing world. I pray to live my life as an act of worship every day! In Jesus' name, Amen.
