    Set Up for Success

    Read

Psalm 139:23-24, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

    Think

No one else has the capability to do what is asked in this verse, except God. No human can search your heart or test you and know what's going on inside your mind. But, there is someone who can do that and do it with your best outcome in mind! At Fellowship Church, we talk about "setting others up for success" all the time. What that means is that when someone is challenged to follow-through on an important task, we do everything possible to make sure they have all the tools and resources they need to do it right, where it will benefit all. In today's scripture, David is basically asking God to "set him up for success!" He's asking God to do four extremely important things that could next-level every area of his life. What are those four important words? He's asking God to search, know, test and lead him! Those are four great words that you should ask God to do in order to set you up for success, too!

    Act

Write these four words on a piece of paper and put them where you will see them on a daily basis. Your life will be impacted by God himself in a much greater way if you will say this same prayer to God on a daily basis just like David did. Ask God to search, know, test and lead you and enjoy the benefits of success that will come your way.

    Pray

Dear Lord, you know that I want to be successful in everything I set my heart and mind on. In order to assure that happens, I commit right now to praying this model prayer that David lifted up to you years ago. Search, know, test and lead me in everything I do. Amen.
