Think
We live in a culture that has more access to God's Word, the Bible, than ever before. From printed copies to websites to apps on our phones – the Bible is available anytime we want it. But just because it is available, doesn't mean it is accepted. This weekend at church we read a story Jesus told about a man scattering seed on different soils. Jesus said, "The seed is the word of God." (Luke 8:11) then He explained how the different soils represent one of four categories that all of our hearts fall into. The reality was that seed got to every type of soil, but only one soil experienced the incredible blessing of the seed. We have to recognize the value of the "seed" God brings into our lives. Just because we have easy access to it, doesn't mean we should treat it as common. God's "seed" deserves a well-cultivated "soil" and over the next few days we are going to look at how we can give God our best "soil."
Act
Allow God to bring some "seed" into your heart by reading the story Jesus told about the soil and the seed in Matthew 13:3-8 and Matthew 13:18-23.
Pray
My Father in Heaven, thank You that You love me so much that You have given me Your Word. Please prepare my heart to receive it. May I experience the incredible blessing that comes from hearing and applying Your Word.
