Romans 5:10, "While we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son."

    Think

Marriage is an earthly relationship that is analogous to God's relationship with His people. But like any relationship, marriage takes work in order to succeed and thrive. Inevitably, married couples will come to points of contention and strife. What happens in those moments, though, is what determines a win or a loss. Marriages that win are marriages that do the work to overcome struggles. They are the relationships that reconcile with one another. In a very real way, marriage is a catalyst for spiritual maturity. For those who are Christ followers, the primary aspect to our lives is reconciliation. In our relationship to God, we have been reconciled because of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. So now, we have the ability to reconcile with those we have relationships with. And when we do, we experience a true "win" in the relational game!

    Act

Are you facing a point of contention in any relationship? Take a moment to consider all that God has done for you. Rely on the His power, and begin to do the work it takes to reconcile your relationship!

    Pray

Dear God, thank You for the reconciliation I have with You through the work of Jesus. Help me to live out that reconciliation in the relationships I have here on earth so that I can bring glory to You. In Christ's name, Amen.
