    On Purpose

Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created..." Genesis 1:31, "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good."

    Think

For just a moment, clear whatever surface is in front of you. Now, using the "nothing" in front of you, create something. Anything. Go on. Try it. You can't do it, can you? No one can. Except for God. And that is just what He did! As we look around, everything in sight comes from one source - God. He began with nothing; yet, He created everything! The evidence is overwhelming. But, God didn't stop with just creating the world. He took the time to intimately and intricately create you as well! Too often, though, we allow the world to peck away at our worth. We believe the evil one's lies about who we are and think we've missed our chance to fulfill God's purpose. But that's simply not true! When God looks at you, He sees your potential, your ability to achieve greatness. As your Creator, only He can truly define your worth. And, right now, He wants to give you the focus, commitment, and love required to fulfill a specific purpose! So, as we embark on this new year, this new decade, will YOU accept God's offer and allow Him to do amazing things in and through your life?

    Pray

God, I know that You have created me for a purpose. Thank you! As I begin this day, help me to see that purpose. Give me a new perspective on why I am here, and grant me the ability to accomplish Your purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen.
