    Read

Matthew 2:7-8, 13, "Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, ‘Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.'... An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. ‘Get up,' he said, 'take the child and His mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill Him.'"

    Think

Today, in most cities, it seems like road construction is endless. Familiar routes suddenly dead-end and become exasperating detours. Similarly, we have a real enemy constantly vying to thwart us from God's path. He loves to deter us by throwing oblique obstacles and distractions in our way every day. Fortunately, we have a God far more powerful than any of the enemy's schemes. King Herod, an enemy of God, was paranoid about anything that jeopardized his power. So, hit with the news of the newborn King's birth, the outrageously jealous king had every male in Bethlehem age two and under killed. However, Herod was no match for the King of Kings and God's sovereign power prevailed. Jesus survived to fulfill God's plan! This serves as a great reminder that our enemy is no match for God. In the face of life's obstacles, if we seek God's help, He'll always provide a way out. Unexpected delays and detours are inevitable, but with a God that can move mountains, we can be assured that He'll guide and protect us every step of the way as we remain on track to fulfill His plans for our lives!

    Act

The Bible says, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" Keep this in mind as you face daily obstacles. Because, if God wills it, there's always a way!

    Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for Your guidance. I know that without Your hand upon me, I'd constantly travel in the wrong direction. I praise You for always making a way for me to remain on the path of purpose to fulfill Your plans. In Jesus' name, Amen.
