Hebrews 2:18,
"Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."
Think
"No one understands like Jesus." Have you ever felt trapped by a temptation to do wrong? Those moments can feel very isolating, but you are not alone. Jesus is not some distant deity who cannot relate to what you are dealing with. Jesus can stand with you in your struggles because he stood strong through his own. He had to overcome difficult circumstances and face tempting options. God did not shield Jesus from the struggles that we face, so he understands our struggles and can help us like no other. Jesus wants to help, but he won't force us to accept his help. We must invite him into our struggles. We do that by praying when we are tempted. We do that by sharing our struggles with other Christ-followers. And, by looking at what the Bible says about our struggles. The result of inviting Jesus into the difficulties of our life is that we have the help of someone who can not only relate to our situation, but who also knows the way to overcome it!

Jesus, I need your help in ___________ situation. Give me the strength to make the right decision and take the right action. Amen.
