    Me or He?

    Read

Romans: 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" John 11:40, "Jesus said to her, 'Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?'"

    Think

Whether you're a designer in New York, a tour boat operator in Amsterdam, a farmer in Kenya, or a factory worker in Brazil - you're a sinner who falls short of the glory of God. Your problem of sin is not that you have broken the moral law of God, but that you have missed the goal of glorifying God. You have fallen short of His glory. Humanity has fallen short of attributing the supreme honor and glory rightly due to God. As God's imagers, we have disgraced ourselves by our sin. The Greek word sin means to miss the target. By failing to attribute the honor and glory properly due to God, we have woefully missed the target. We have become dishonorable and thus, failed to honor God. Even though we have missed the target, God has a remedy for our poor marksmanship. Jesus is the remedy. By openly declaring that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you can be made right with God. You can now honor God. The glory given is not me, but He!

    Act

If you have never personally declared Jesus as Lord, today is your day. Take this moment to pray out loud the prayer below. Make it your declaration of God's glory.

    Pray

Dear God, I confess that Jesus is Lord. He is the Lord of my life! I believe that He died for me and that He arose from the dead. From this day forward I choose to give Him the glory His name deserves. Amen.
