"Generosity can stir the souls of others." If you attend a memorial service, you will seldom hear people listing out the possessions that person obtained. But, you will often hear others describe the legacy that person left behind. God created us to make a lasting impact. One of the main ways we can do that is by leaving a legacy of generosity. But, we don't inspire with our words, we inspire with our actions. Others follow us as we follow God's example of pouring into the lives of others! The great thing is that we can experience the blessing of leaving a legacy while we are still alive! We can have a front row seat as we see God bless the lives of others through us. Nothing the world offers can leave us with true satisfaction – not money, fame, status or acceptance. Being enthusiastic about giving our all to God will bring true satisfaction because it is what we were created for. Whether this was your first week at church or your 500th week, chances are that someone in your life – a parent, friend or mentor – has spiritually invested in you. Multiply that blessing by passing it along! Live a life of generosity through your actions, words and faithfulness and see how God uses you to leave a mark on the future.

Act

Remember, we don't take any stuff into eternity. Give your time, energy and focus to what God values the most, his Church! Don't wait until it's too late. Allow God to work through you by being a blessing to others. Think of someone right now that you can invite to Fellowship Church to hear about the lasting legacy of Jesus Christ!

God, please help me to be enthusiastic with my generosity to those around me. Remind me that my life is about leaving the legacy of you and not me, Amen.
