    Make the Move

    Read

Hebrews 10:32, "Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering."

    Think

"It's time to move from victim to victor." There are times in the game of life when we seem to get hit from all sides, tackled by difficulty, taken down by the opposition. Feeling blindsided, it's hard to get up and get back in the game. Naturally, we wonder, "Why me?" But God never intended for us to stay sidelined with a "Why me?" mentality. In the midst of our difficulties, when life seems so unfair, we can move from victim to victor when we view our problem in light of God's purpose. When we choose to replace "Why me?" with "What now?" How do we bridge the gap between these two questions? We can start by remembering how God has provided for us – and others – in the past. God never changes; he is always faithful. The strength he gave us to overcome opposition yesterday is the same strength that's available to us today and tomorrow – but we have to move from the sideline to the line of scrimmage. We have to choose to get back in the game. No matter what you're facing today, remember the greatness of God's provision and thank him in advance for what he will do in and through your life in this season and in seasons to come.

    Act

Do you journal? If not start one today. Write down all the ways God has provided for you and blessed you over the last 6 months. If you have an old journal, take it out and read how God has helped you in the past. Let this serve as both a reminder of what he's already given you the strength to overcome and the ultimate victory that awaits you through Christ.

    Pray

Dear Lord, I know that when I am weak, you are strong. Thank you for your constant provision and abounding love. Help me to always seek your purpose within my pain and problems. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
