"Light illuminates, captivates, and motivates!" In the iconic movie "Christmas Vacation," there is a hilarious scene where the main character, Clark, maniacally decorates his house with the biggest Christmas light display in town. He encounters problem after problem – short circuits, burnt bulbs, and overloaded breakers. Finally, in one triumphant moment, everything works, and he reveals a light display so bright it can be seen from space! God wants us all to have that kind of life – the kind of life that illuminates those around us and provides a beautiful display for everyone we encounter. The good news is, unlike Clark and his display, we don't have to struggle or fight our way to the kind of showcase God wants us to have. We don't have to do it on our own. (In fact, we can't!) God provided us with the perfect example – his Son, Jesus – to serve as the light of our lives. When we look to him, we will discover all we need in order to display the kind of lives God wants the world to see. Let him be your light source!
