Proverbs 2:7-8,
"He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones." James 1:22,
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, so deceiving yourselves."
Think
"Information without application is an abomination!" What do we gain from acquiring knowledge without putting it to use? The answer: absolutely nothing! In order to live the full life that God has in store for us, we must be intentional about living out the wisdom of God. No one can attest to the implications of not applying godly wisdom to their life better than King Solomon. The Bible says that this Old Testament King was the wisest and richest man ever to live. He asked God for wisdom, and he received it. However, for many years, he lived like a fool. He spoke words of wise judgment and discernment to others, yet he failed to apply that same advice in his own life, and he ultimately found himself doing the opposite of what God told him to do. It took Solomon many wasted years before he came to the conclusion that life without a commitment to God and his way of doing things is meaningless. But a life of living out the wisdom of God in your words, actions, and choices will lead to success, protection, and provision that you could have never imagined.
