    Intentional Relationships

    Read

Proverbs 27:19,  "A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses."

    Think

"What did THEY influence you to do that you would not have done if THEY hadn't been around?" That's a question we all need to ask ourselves, because the truth is that we all have people in our lives who influence us – whether it's positively or negatively. Relationships – great relationships – are intentional, not accidental. We don't just fall into friendship. It takes focus, direction, and wisdom to find and surround ourselves with the right people. And when we do, we discover the kinds of friends who help us get the most out of life. Don't just hope to find the right people to do life with. Instead, rely on God's wisdom, choose the kinds of friends he has in store for you, and discover the kind of life he wants you to live!

    Act

It's time to do a FRIEND-ventory. Write down the friendships in your life and next to each write "right THEY" or "wrong THEY" and give the reason why. Be brutally honest in your evaluations.

    Pray

Heavenly Father, as I seek to surround myself with the kind of people you want in my life, give me your perspective so that I can honestly evaluate my relationships. Then, give me the strength to walk away from the wrong they and toward the right they! Amen.
