Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

    Think

Every American dollar bill reads, "In God We Trust." Yet isn't it true that so often, we put our trust in money rather than God? If we're not careful, money can quickly become our master, and our goods can become our gods. But we must not be deceived! While having more money provides more options, it isn't everything. God alone is our ultimate provider, the ultimate source that directs our course. Therefore, all of us must choose whom we will serve – God or money. When we choose to serve money, we will find ourselves wanting more. But if we choose to serve God, we will find ourselves in a position to be used for good! It's all about being generous with what God has blessed us with. Generosity is more than an action; it's an attitude. No matter how many zeros there are behind the number in our bank account, if God is our master, we should want to give. Because not only has He generously blessed us, but He will also work through us to be a blessing to others. God created us in His own image. Therefore, we are never more like God than when we give. And what Jesus gave His life for (the local church) we can give our lives to, in order to advance His kingdom! As you give to the local church, you will find your investment restoring marriages, reuniting families, and helping lives be changed forever! Are you ready to make that kind of difference? Choose generosity and begin to invest in the local church!

    Pray

Father God, thank You for Your generosity and countless blessings. Help me to remain focused on You – the Blessor – and to not be consumed by blessings. Instead, open my heart and mind to opportunities to bless others as You have so greatly blessed me. I pray this in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
