Revelation 21:3-4, "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'"

    Think

"Home in Heaven." Have you ever tried to describe something that was beyond description – a breathtaking sunset, a newborn baby, a majestic mountain range? It can be difficult! Why? Because it's so amazing! Heaven, the home of those who have a relationship with Jesus, is amazing and beyond description. In the Book of Revelation, the most valuable and beautiful things on earth are used to describe the building materials of Heaven. God describe this limitless place with our limited words as he unpacks the breathtaking details of our eternal home that he has waiting for us. But Heaven is also amazing because of what is there and what is not there. First, God is there! The one who is love, perfection, all that is good. What more could you want? Second, some things are not there. All the plagues, pain, and problems of this present life are gone. Can you imagine life without stress, without tears, without fear, without anxiety? It's possible! God has prepared a place where you can experience everything you've dreamed of – and more!

    Act

If you have never trusted Jesus, do it today by praying the prayer below and then asking Jesus to forgive your sin and take charge of your life! If you have already made this decision, then ask God to give you an opportunity to share your story or invite someone to church so they can experience the same!

    Pray

God, thank you for preparing heaven for me. I am grateful Jesus left Heaven, came to earth, died on the cross for my sin, rose from the dead to give me life, and is in Heaven ready to welcome me! I want him to take charge of my life! In Jesus' name, Amen.
