    Good Soil = Good Return

    Read

Matthew 13:8,  "'Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.'"

    Think

"When our hearts are open and ready to receive God's word, big things are going to happen in our lives!" Farmers have one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Before the sun comes up, they are hard at work plowing fields, planting seeds, and preparing for a harvest. The work is tough and tiresome, and often goes unnoticed. It isn't until a crop is grown and ready for harvest that a farmer sees the results of all his hard work. Our hearts are like the soil of a farmer's field. The hearts that have received God's truth produce a life that is continually changed and transformed. The verse today tells us that those who genuinely accept God's plan and purpose for their lives see a huge return over time as a result! As you consider your heart, where do you find yourself? Is your heart ready to receive and respond to God's truth and purpose for your life? If so, get ready for a huge return as you follow the path God has for you!

    Act

Write down three ways you can keep your heart ready to not only receive, but also to display God's word in your life. Some examples may include: commit to reading the Bible daily, spend 10 minutes in prayer each morning, or getting involved in serving on the weekend at Fellowship Church!

    Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for continuing to cultivate my heart. I pray that you use me in the lives of those around me to be an example of your love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
