Acts 5:42, "Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah."
Think
"We are Comforted by Christ to be Uncomfortable for Christ."
In the verse above, Peter and the disciples had just been released from prison and were given a stern warning to never speak in the name of Jesus again.
The high priests and religious officials of the day were filled with jealousy because they were teaching about who Jesus was and how he could rescue them. But it wasn't just that, it was that people were listening. The religious leaders saw them as a threat.
Let's read the second part of the verse again, "they never stopped." Even though Peter and the disciples knew sharing the good news of Jesus with others could bring them opposition and hardship, it didn't stop them!Have you ever experienced criticism, isolation, or pain because you stood up for who Jesus is and what he has done in your life? Be encouraged that you are not alone!
Jesus never said that following him would be easy. But, he did promise that you would never be alone and would always be equipped to handle whatever you face.
Keep sharing your story! Don't stop because it gets uncomfortable. Jesus is right there with you!
