    Read

John 20:31, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

    Think

The Bible is written for our transformation, not just information."  The Bible, God's Word, is full of important information. But it is so much more than that. What is found in the Bible is transformational and life-changing! The Bible has a beautiful theme that runs from the beginning (Genesis) to the end (Revelation). It is the story of God bridging the gap between heaven and His creation through one savior – Jesus. Jesus didn't want to be a distant deity. He came to have a personal relationship with each one of us. This truth is the transformational message of the Bible. The Bible isn't just God's story. He wants to shine light on your story. His message of love, redemption, and hope fills the pages. We can read about who Jesus is and the miraculous things he did. But, we can also read about how we can have a life that is more abundant than we can imagine. Have you allowed God's word to transform you? Ask God to open your eyes, mind, and heart to what He would have you gain from reading it. Don't just read the Bible. Be transformed and let the Bible read you!

    Act

Whether you are new to reading the Bible or have read it numerous times, take time to read the book of John. It is a great depiction of the life of Jesus.  But before doing so, ask God to open your heart and mind to what he wants you to gain from it.

    Pray

God, thank you for your word, the Bible. Help me never to take it for granted. I want to experience the life-change you have for me as I read it. Open my heart and mind to its transforming power. In Jesus' name, Amen!
