Matthew 28:19-20,
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Think
"You have never locked eyes with someone who doesn't matter to God." Have you ever been given a task that initially seemed overwhelming? Maybe it was closing a deal, parenting your first child, learning a new position on the field, or a completing a project in school. This passage can seem overwhelming until we realize exactly what Jesus is asking of us and how he has equipped us carry it out. God's plan to share his love with the world didn't end when Jesus left the earth. In fact, he is counting on us to daily share his love with the world around us. And, you don't need to be a biblical scholar or move across the world to obey this command. Jesus is telling us that as we go throughout our day- at work, the gym, the restaurant, the classroom, or the boardroom – that we should be sharing what God has done in our life with others. We should be looking for small opportunities each day to listen, empathize, and encourage others who don't know Jesus. Jesus promised that he will be with us always. He wants to partner with you in this process. Let that confidence fuel you as you share God's love today and look for opportunities to invite those around you to church!
Act
Think about someone you encounter daily. How could you get to know them better? How can you take time over a week or a month to really listen to what is going on in their life? Then invite them to join you at Fellowship Church. Here's a great way to say it: "I go to an awesome church that helps me, I think you would really like it. I'd love for you to join me this Sunday!" You'll discover when you are looking for opportunities, God will give them to you!
Pray
Dear God, it is humbling to know that you have chosen me to be a part of your great rescue plan. Please open my eyes today to see the people around me the way you see them. Give me boldness to take advantage of every opportunity you put in my path.
