Exodus 3:4, "When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!' And Moses said, ‘Here I am.'"

The account of the burning bush is one of the most retold and recounted stories in the Bible. It intrigues and inspires us. And many times we think, "If God spoke to me in a burning bush experience, I'd be ready to answer!" But the truth is, God has called us all to an amazing purpose – His purpose! He speaks to us regularly and routinely through His Word, the Bible. We may not find ourselves standing in front of a bush that is on fire. But God's word is no less real and powerful in our lives today. Do you realize that God has put a call on your life? It's true! No matter who you are, where you live, or what you've done, God can (and wants to) use you for His purpose. Don't think that God's call is reserved for the super-spiritual or hyper-religious. God calls regular men and women to do amazing things. Are you ready to answer that call?

 

Act

How do you find God's call in your life? Focus on the ways He communicates today. Commit wholeheartedly to reading His Word (the Bible). Connect regularly to His House (the Church). Communicate consistently with people who will point you to His plan!

Dear Lord, I realize that You have a purpose and a plan for my life. Help me to be conscious of Your call so that I can make a lasting and powerful difference in the world around me. In Christ's name I pray, Amen.
