Read
Matthew 1:24,
"When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife."
Think
"Don't bailout before the breakthrough!" Wouldn't it be great if everything in life went according to plan? That's probably what Joseph expected as he prepared to wed Mary. After all, she had a stellar reputation. What could happen? So, imagine the shock when he discovers she's pregnant, says she's still a virgin and the child will be the Messiah. How could it be true? Joseph was facing a faith fight. Should he believe her or bailout? Thankfully, Joseph chose to remain obedient to God after an angel of the Lord told him that he should marry her because she had, indeed, been chosen by God to be the mother of the Messiah. When the unexpected in life happens, you will experience a faith fight. Will you follow God's path or your own path? It could be the difference between living in mediocrity and chaos or experiencing God's peace and purpose. It may not always be the easy path, but it will be the most rewarding in ways you can't imagine. Crash through the quitting points and experience the purpose God has for you!
Act
Take a few minutes to write about a time when you chose not to quit, committed to God's plan and experienced his blessing. When the unexpected happens, read about it again to remind yourself to choose God's path.
Pray
Dear God, thank you for loving me enough to have a plan that is always better than mine. Help me to be courageous and commit to your plan even when it seems hard to me. As I feel the struggle of the challenge, I will praise you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
